Lyle is a an inhabitant of Xion, the last human city on Earth. He calls on EVE’s help after his daughter, Arin, steals his prized gilt-bronze Standing Buddha statue and runs off with it, claiming he can’t run his shop until they are found. After eventually finding Arin in the Wasteland and rescuing her from Naytibas, the girl reveals that she stole the Standing Buddha because her father had developed an unhealthy obsession with it, staring at it constantly, and even fighting with other people over items that looked like it, and thought that by getting rid of the statue he would go back to the way he was before.

EVE brings Arin back to Xion and meets with Lyle. At first he is angered because of his daughter’s actions, but is encouraged by EVE to listen to how Arin feels. After listening to his daughter, Lyle realizes his mistake and apologizes to her. He then gives EVE the Standing Buddha, saying she can keep it or throw it away if she wishes.

Appearance

Lyle is a middle-aged man with gray hair and a receding hairline, along with a long beard and brown eyes. He wears gloves and a gray-and-brown jacket.
